  Job summary

  We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and supportive GP practice.

  You will be vital in delivering high-quality care to our patient population of approximately 9000. Duties will phlebotomy, NHS Health Checks, Chronic disease management (dependant on experience), injections etc.

  Main duties of the job

  New patient health checks

  ECG recording

  B12 Injections

  Flu Immunisations

  Urine Testing

  Phlebotomy

  Chaperoning duties

  Chronic Disease Management reviews (at what level depends on experience)

  Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses

  Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment

  Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

  Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation

  Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms

  Ordering of items as directed by the appropriate protocol

  About us

  We pride ourselves on delivering an excellent standard of care for our patients and consistently achieve very high scores in the GP Patient Survey, despite the challenging climate in the NHS. The practice is high QOF scoring and CQC rated Good, with excellent long-term staff retention. We are an active member of the Sale Central PCN.

  We have 4 GP partners, 5 salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, a HCA and a large administration team.

  We are a training practice and host ST1, ST2, FY doctors. Many of which have returned as a permanent member of the team.
