Job Description

- Preparing patient forms for provider signature
- Preparing developmental and/or behavioral screening forms for provider review
- Preparing templated letters for provider signature
- Support retrieval of outside medical records during appointments
- Support other clerical back office responsibilities as needed
- Call patients with normal results
- Call patients for form pickup and other non-clinical advice related needs
- Data entry within EHR of specific historical data (i.e., Newborn, immunizations, etc.)
- Faxing
- May function as liaison between front and back office
- May function as back office point of contact for providers
- May perform other duties as assigned by clinic manager
- Must complete all yearly mandatory on-line trainings
- Must work in any/all Allegro Pediatrics’ clinics as needed
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal/people skills
- Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced patient focused environment with ongoing changes
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to all clinics as staffing needs change
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Background check
- Drug testing in compliance with Washington State Bill 5123 for this safety-sensitive position.
- To uphold safety for all employees and patients, we continue to require vaccination status for all new hires, including remote or hybrid schedules, at time of hire and annually
- Current COVID booster, and annually, or as newly released
- We require flu immunizations at time of hire and annually
- Various other immunization requirements that we can discuss during your interview
- All employees are currently required to wear a surgical, KN95 or N95 mask at all times while in clinic, patient facing

The temporary/seasonal Healthcare Intern helps and supports all members of the care team with a focus on meeting the needs of patients between visits and on demand support for patients in clinic as needed. Primary responsibility will be back-office clerical duties in addition to a specific set of clinical support duties as needed. This is a seasonal staff position which is part of the Pre-Professional Shadow program that combines pre-professional students with provider shadowing opportunities during a time of high seasonal paperwork demands. There will be 4 hours of unpaid provider or nurse shadow time, as appropriate, per week.
