Healthcare Receptionist/Office Assistant - Full Time

Job Description
- Req#: 5054
- Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone boards via 8x8 Switchboard.
- Assist IT with 8x8 new center extension confirmation, email addresses and center closings ensuring unused extensions are identified.
- Maintains 8x8 training documents.
- Trains backup support team on 8x8 and receptionist duties.
- Distributes all referrals and faxes to assigned patient services coordinator or department.
- Facilitates Patient Satisfaction Survey collection and database inputting.
- Distributes At-Home postcards to patients.
- Staples administrator for the company includes account setup for clinics, individual user setup and support to all team members when troubleshooting is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Administer and uphold all the Company’s values, policies, and procedures.
- Continuously work towards the Company’s goal and vision.
- Reports problems promptly to the designated supervisor.
- Reports to work on time and is flexible with scheduling changes.
- Adheres to RXH’s Privacy and Security Policies as it relates to HIPAA regulations.
- Respects and maintains patient confidentiality in written, verbal, and electronic information.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent highly preferred.
- Experience in a front desk role in a hospital outpatient or medical practice setting is required.
- Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Possesses excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Is professional in appearance and actions.
- Consistently displays behavior that enhances the image of the organization as evidenced by professional and courteous behavior toward all patients, referral sources, host facility staff, and co-workers.
- Fosters a sense of teamwork.
- Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation.
- Has satisfactorily passed pre-employment requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work may require sitting at a desk for long periods of time, utilizing a phone, and using a computer. Work requires the physical demands of bending, lifting, sitting, or performing other work requiring moderate physical exertion up to 30 pounds occasionally.
