California, USA ● Washington, USA Req #4673Friday, September 27, 2024The Director of Revenue Cycle Management Operations is responsible for all revenue cycle activities at assigned hospitals and supervise assigned staff in the performance of their duties; to promote best practices and work with wound center staff to implement and maintain RestorixHealth revenue cycle policies and procedures and to participate in the implementation of new centers.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Act as a liaison between assigned center and hospital Registration, HIM, Coding, Charge Capture, Patient Accounts, and other Finance Departments as the RestorixHealth revenue cycle consultant/expert.
• Responsible for overseeing visits/accounts and helping assigned wound care centers and hospital clients resolve their revenue cycle issues to identify, analyze and propose resolutions for problems resulting in ADRs, denials or changes that impede timely and accurate billing of wound care/HBOT services and timely reimbursement for those services.
• Through regular analysis, ensure each assigned center is compliant with revenue cycle policies and procedures. Supports and facilitates process and procedural improvements to the revenue cycle that contribute to favorable financial results and operational efficiencies Communicate infractions with the appropriate parties.
• Manage, train, and monitor performance of assigned Revenue Cycle Representatives (RCRs) to include timely A/R follow up and collections, problem solving, communications with insurances, centers and hospital clients, payment analysis/billing worksheets for invoice creation, and write offs. Monitor outcomes and create competencies to assure ongoing training is provided as necessary.
• Incorporates best management practices in the achievement of goals and objectives to improve process in cooperation with Intake, Payment Integrity, IT, RDCT/Clinical Staff, and Billing/ Collections, etc. on policies and procedures, and technologies (throughout the company) to ensure that they are developing, building and complying with a clearly defined, effective revenue management approach consistent with the overall mission and strategic plan of the company and hospital partners.
• Responsible for monitoring of unbilled A/R and assuring POR aging remains current (not to exceed 25% of total A/R > 90 days outstanding). In collaboration with RCR, evaluation and analysis of unresolved third-party accounts, unresolved accounts include unbillable, unauthorized, rejected, denied, underpaid and recouped accounts receivable
• Develop procedures to track trends, minimize disruptions, improve workflows, and increase collections.
• Through effective escalation process, communicate to VP and RDs, financial impact that center revenue cycle clinical and operational processes have on indicators such as denials and bad debt.
• Develop positive working relationships with all involved personnel including partnering with RestorixHealth Regional Directors and Program Directors to maximize performance of each center.
• Visit all assigned wound care centers, as needed, to implement and maintain productive relationships and observe center activities to include education, training, physician panel and hospital partner meetings.
• Participate in the implementation of new wound care centers for all Revenue Cycle needs.
• Adapt revenue cycle procedures as indicated to maximize effectiveness
Additional Responsibilities:
• In consultation with GM/VP and RD, develop, implement and monitor revenue cycle procedures to meet the unique needs of each hospital partner/wound care center.
• Collaborate with Corporate FDC Manager as necessary on FDC selection, education, training needs within their assigned centers.
• Assist Regional Directors in scoping and planning multiple projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Technical Skills:
• Must possess experience in all areas of the Hospital OP Revenue Cycle: Patient Access, Health Information Management, and/or Patient Financial Services expertise, preferably involving wound care services.
• Experience working with diverse teams such as Centralized Business Office (CBO), Patient Financial Services, and hospital administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and hospital billing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
