      Main duties of the job

      'We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, forward thinking and patient-centred Healthcare support workers to join our team on Epynt ward at Brecon War Memorial Hospital. Epynt ward is the stroke rehabilitation unit for South Powys, so our approach is multi-disciplinary led care. We are looking for individuals who are able to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, are caring and kind and who wish to develop their knowledge and skills within stroke rehabilitation. We need individuals who are sympathetic, with excellent communications skills, an active interest in learning and an attitude that ensures the highest standard of care for our patients. The role entails shift work, so the ability to work a range of hours is needed, to include nights, weekends and bank holidays.These advertised posts are for various hours, full time / part time over a fixed period of 6 months or 2 years.       • Can demonstrate clear transferable skills valid to the healthcare setting equivalent to NVQ/QCF level 2
      • NVQ / QCF level 2 in Health Care or equivalent

      Desirable

      • Clear communication skills both oral and written
      • Able to undertake and accurately chart simple observations
      • Can verbalise a caring attitude
      • Note patient progress in the nursing care evaluation
      • Participation in meetings
      • Participation within the team in care monitoring, audit and evaluation fundamentals of care
