      Job summary

      An interesting and exciting opportunity has risen for Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker.

      We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive individual to join our healthcare team at HMP Hull. The team includes a wide range of experienced, skilled individuals including nurses, paramedics, clinical support workers, pharmacy technicians, pharmacist, physiotherapist, administration support workers and more.

      You will become part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, using your skills, experience and knowledge to help define and deliver care to those with often complex needs. As well as providing excellent care to service users, you will also support colleagues in developing the service.

      Main duties of the job

      Assisting with medication administration

      Clinical support worker led clinics such as NHS Health checks, Phlebotomy, ECG and QOF related reviews

      Supporting registered nurses in delivering emergency care as well as assessing and reviewing patients

      Blood borne virus and sexual health screening

      First and second night initial reception screening

      Health promotion

      Substance Misuse
