      Job summary

      Minehead Hospital boastsstate of the art facilitiesin a fabulous rural location. We are situated on the coast in beautiful West Somerset, we offer excellent staff facilities including staff dining room with a south facing balcony, largefree staff car park& modern changing facilities.

      The ward has 19 inpatient beds set out as single rooms and two four bed bays. Each room has an on-suite and overhead hoist system. All modern facilities. We have a specially designed room for end of life care. We offer rehabilitation and subacute medical intervention.

      Main duties of the job

      If so, we are looking for you to join us on a part-time basis!Full traininganddevelopmentis offered in this role. We can offer youflexibility with hours, if you can offer us the same, as this role will involve nights and weekends.

      You will be an enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking professional who has experience of working in a team. With the patient at the centre of all you do, you will require good communication skills, be assertive and provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of the ward Sister.

They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality and compassionate care to individuals. HCSWs will carry out well-defined routine duties indicated in the care plan and check on patients overall progress, comfort and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to their Registered Professional

      HCSWs also undertake non-clinical duties and, depending on where they work, examples of these can be found in Appendix 1. They will be able to address straightforward problems in their day to day work, reporting concerns and changes to their supervisor in a timely manner. HCSWs work in a range of healthcare settings. They will report to a Registered Professional who will directly or indirectly supervise their work.

      • Care Certificate (Skills for Care) inhouse training or prepared to undertake within an agreed timescale
      • Vocational level 2 Healthcare or willingness to undertake within agree time scale
      • Good understanding of working in the clinical environment
      • Previous experience of working within an NHS environment
