Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker to join a team of experienced nurses working on ward 16 our 28 bedded Trauma and Orthpedic ward . You will be joining a team who are dedicated and professional, providing a holistic care approach to patients with minor to complex health needs . We will provide training to ensure you have the skills for the role and offer development opportunities.
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
Main duties of the job
Communication with other members of the organisation and respond appropriately.
Assist with admissions, transfer and discharge of patients.
Make unoccupied beds and occupied beds.
Assist patients with diet fluids, mobilisation and with hygiene needs.
Observe patient's skin and report any concerns.
Carrying out baseline observations and reporting to the qualified members of staff.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
