- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and skid steers to support underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm drain)
- Perform trench excavation, backfilling, compaction, and fine grading to precise specifications
- Interpret construction drawings, site plans, and grade stakes
- Utilize laser levels and other grading tools to ensure accuracy
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed to support the crew and project timelines
- 3–5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in underground utility construction
- Proficiency with excavators, loaders, and skid steers
- Strong understanding of trench safety, grading techniques, and utility installation standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and use precision grading tools
- Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Experience working on fast-paced commercial job sites

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
