The Opportunity: We have a great opportunity to expand your knowledge working with some fantastic brands (Mercedes Benz, Freightliner, Fuso), we are looking for an enthusiastic Vehicle Technician with experience in Heavy Diesel vehicles to join our Timaru Branch. We want to invest in developing you to your best potential and in return you will join a supportive, hardworking team who are committed to producing great results for our customers. This role will see you focus on all aspects of Heavy Diesel mechanics and will best suit someone who has strong focus on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for our valued customer base. If you are eager to learn and up for a challenge, you will also be given the opportunity (if applicable) to gain your Level 4 Heavy Vehicle Diesel Certificate after a qualifying period. To be successful in this role, you will need: * Diesel or Automotive Qualification with 3 years’ experience or 5 years + diesel experience (no qualification) * Mechanical capability and technical skills; diagnosing faults and servicing heavy Commercial Vehicles * Excellent diagnostic ability and analytical thinking to navigate complex issues and deliver high-quality outcomes. * Confident computer literacy and a committed, customer-focused mindset ensuring the CablePrice “first choice” customer vision is upheld. * Safety Commitment – It is our number one priority; we look after ourselves and each other.
