      Department Overview:

      Temple Beth El is the only Reform Jewish congregation in Madison.       Schedule:

      School meets on Wednesdays after school during the school year. A full schedule will be provided upon inquiry.

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $17.00 to $20.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Teach Hebrew classes for 3rd -7th graders during our midweek Hebrew program.. Curriculum is provided.

      Key Responsibilities include:

      • Teach letter recognition, basic grammar, and prayers
      • Plan innovative and engaging lessons
      • Effectively manage a class of 12-18 students
      • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians

      Qualifications:

      Preferred Knowledge and Skills

      • Mastery of Hebrew alef-bet in block and script
      • Familiarity with Reform liturgy
      • Bonus for those who have completed 2 semesters of university-level Hebrew
