      Job Overview
      As a key member of our team, you will pilot a rotary-wing aircraft to facilitate the aerial application of insecticides.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • Operate our cutting-edge helicopter for aerial insecticide applications.
      • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations for safe flights.
      • Maintain flight logs and conduct necessary inspections for aircraft readiness.
      • Calibrate spray systems for safe operation.
      • Collaborate with ground inspectors when not in air operations.
      • Supervise part-time helicopter pilots when required.
      • Conduct safety meetings as the unit safety officer.
      • Make public presentations as needed.

      Job Specifications

      • Knowledge of FAA rules and regulations for flight operations.
      • Proficiency in aircraft operation, control, and navigation.
      • Skill in landing in remote areas and operating computer-based aircraft systems.
      • Ability to communicate effectively and pilot rotary-wing aircraft.

      Physical Requirements

      Lift more than 40 lbs.
      Excellent vision color perception and above-average hearing.
      Depth perception.
      Work Category
      Medium work - involving exertion up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.

      Minimum Qualifications Required

      • High school diploma or GED Certificate.
      • FAA Commercial Pilot License with a rotorcraft-helicopter rating.
      • Minimum of 500 hours of turbine engine helicopter flying time, including 200 hours of night flight time.
      • Experience in low-level or agricultural spraying or dusting flight time as first pilot.
      • Current FAA Flight Medical Certificate (Class II) with no waivers.
