  Job Summary

  This position is covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Dominion Energy and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 50.

  Pay Rate is $23.45 an hour.

  This is an entry level position in our Rubber Goods Department and is an excellent starting point for a career at Dominion. The successful candidate will develop skills to prepare themselves for potential advancement within our Rubber Goods Department.

  Specific Helper functions may include, but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are observed.
  • Operation of a forklift in order to transport material in and out of the building and/or around the facility.
  • Operation of motorized sweeper to ensure cleanliness of facility.
  • Data entry of material into SAP.
  • Availability for overtime to include weekends and after hours as needed.
  • Ability to unpack boxes and containers, and sort material for processing.
  • Operation of banding machine to ensure proper loading of material.
  • Operation of industrial grade washers and dryers to properly clean all material.
  • Ability to pull material from stock locations to assemble order for shipment.

  Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  2+ years of material/inventory, warehouse, and/or scheduling experience.
  2+ years of SAP or related software experience.
  Note: A partial year of related experience of 6 months or greater will count towards one year of experience.
  

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work an 8-hour workday schedule with a 7:00am start time and 3:30pm end time.
  • Candidate must work scheduled and emergency overtime if business needs dictate.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift operations experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator’s certificate administered by Dominion.
  • Ability to consistently handle and carry material weighing up to 75 pounds for up to 20 ft.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  2+ years warehouse experience.
  2+ years forklift operations experience.

  Education Requirements

  High School Diploma or GED required.

  Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

  Working Conditions

  Loud Noise 51-75%

  Office Work Environment Up to 25%

  Operating Machinery 76-100%

  Travel Up to 25%

  Other Working Conditions

  • Inside climate controlled environment and outside in all weather conditions
  • Standing on concrete floor for extended periods of time
  • Frequent bending and squatting to load and unload containers and washers/dryers
  • Frequent climbing on forklifts using three points of contact
