      High Content Image Analyst Co-op

      PURPOSE

      This co-op will build and optimize image analysis algorithms for high content imaging instrument to differentiate cells or cell markers on plant, insect and fungi cells. She/he will be well guided by and actively interact with Bayer scientists throughout the projects for productive outcomes. Success of this project will incorporate the automated image analysis steps into the standardized assay workflows and improve data quality and consistency.

      YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

      • Identify and create analysis methods/algorithms for various and complex images with multiple cell markers
      • Understand the project needs
      • Learn the features of analysis software(s) on the high content imager in the team
      • Understand the assays and images as baseline knowledge
      • Self-motivated to communicate and seek solutions for any challenges
      • Present the progress and results with the team

      Required Qualifications:

      • Undergraduate or graduate student with minimum 1 year or equivalent experience on using image processing and image analysis software
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in handling biological materials or understanding biological assay is desired
