      POSITION High School - AG/Biology/Ag Science Teacher
      2025 – 2026 school year

      Provide Ag/Biology/Ag Science/Animal & Plant Science & Leadership instruction grades 9 – 12. This position serves as FFA advisor for a well-established Chapter.


      Essential duties and responsibilities are to develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Plan and implement a program of study following state and district goals/curriculum that meets the individual needs and development of students. Assess and report on the performance of students on a regular basis and maintain such records as required by law, district and building policy. Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues. Cooperate with other members of the staff in planning district curriculum and instructional methods, goals, and objectives. Serves as a role model to students in the areas of appearance, actions, behaviors, and interpersonal interactions with peers. Attends and participates in faculty meetings, committees, school programs, open houses and in service activities as directed. Direct and assigns activities of assigned instructional assistants, volunteers, and other paraprofessionals. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students, parents, and staff. Perform such other tasks as assigned by Administration. Successful applicants will be familiar with Positive Behavior Support strategies. Preference given to those candidates with a knowledge of and experience with Perkins and CTE Pathways.
      MINIMUM
      QUALIFICATIONS
      Applicants must hold an appropriate Oregon Teaching License with proper endorsement.
      SALARY RANGE $50,983 – $79,449 / year. PERS 6% is paid by the district and offers a generous comprehensive family medical/dental/vision insurance package.
      BEGINNING DATE August 25, 2025
      WORK YEAR 176 days (4 day per week calendar –student contact days and in-service Fridays).
