    • Assist the school principal in the overall administration of the instructional program and campus-level operations; coordinate assigned student activities and services.

    • Help to develop a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior.
    • Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable.
    • Conduct conferences on student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers.
    • Articulate the school’s mission to the community and solicit its support in realizing the mission.
    • Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement.

    • Must be able to perform the essential functions of walking and interacting with students and/or district employees in the specific worksite assigned (classroom or office setting).

      High School Associate Principal

      The position of a High School Associate Principal will be available at East Central ISD for the 2024-2025 school year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website.       MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
      Education/Certification:
      Master’s degree
      Texas Principal’s certificate or the other appropriate Texas certificate
      Certified Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) appraiser
      Special Knowledge/Skills:
      Prior teaching and administrative experience (preferred high school level)
      Strong communication skills, both oral and written
      East Central experience preferred

      EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

      WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Protracted and irregular hours of work; prolonged walking, sitting, standing. Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional physical restraint of students to control behavior. May work prolonged or irregular hours; work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather, exposure to noise; occasional districtwide and statewide travel.

      PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: 210 Day basis
      SALARY: Administrative Pay Grade 107
