Job Description

- Provide flexible, targeted instructional support and implement positive behavior strategies for high school students (grades 9-12) with mild-to-moderate special education needs.
- Assist with the implementation and documentation of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and support the certified teacher and staff in maintaining a safe, structured, and consistent learning environment.
- Collaborate with staff to re-engage and support high-risk students, including former dropouts/truants, by understanding and helping mitigate barriers such as poverty, homelessness, and learning deficits.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Paraprofessional Endorsement (Required)
- Short-Term / Substitute Licenses are not eligible for consideration
- Prior experience working effectively with high-risk youth populations (Preferred)
- Exceptional adaptability and flexibility to address considerable academic and behavioral challenges inherent to this student population
- Top Compensation: Competitive compensation ranging from $23.50 - $24.80 Per Hour, based on your experience and qualifications as a Paraprofessional, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
