What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Instruct, train, and assist site personnel in safe work practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Support high voltage maintenance and troubleshooting for renewable energy projects across North America
- Review maintenance and repair test reports, proposing follow-up actions as necessary
- Oversee site BOP/HV specialists during high voltage switching and grounding of electrical equipment
- Develop safe work practices and coordinate with NERC compliance to maintain regulatory standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 6 years of experience in high voltage systems and substations, or a P.E. in Electrical Engineering
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience and technical training
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy industry HV best practices and electrical codes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and various technical documentation tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- NETA certifications or other high voltage certifications
- Experience with battery maintenance, testing, and documentation
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment for high voltage systems
- Understanding of IEC standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations
- Previous experience in the renewable energy sector
