To learn more about USC benefits, access the "Working at USC" section on the Applicant Portal at https://uscjobs.sc.edu.Position DescriptionAdvertised Job Summary The Higher Education Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director, will coordinate the Spring Semester at the Coast program at Baruch Marine Field Laboratory. Coordination of all program components (e.g., course logistics, meals, entertainment, field trips, emergency response) to ensure smooth content delivery and deliver a transformational student experience. Will require planning and executing the 2022 program and planning the 2023 program.
The position will also assist in research support for ongoing projects involving applied coastal ecology at Baruch Marine Field Laboratory.
Housing is available in one of our fully-furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath, cottages at Baruch Marine Field Laboratory. The Lab sits on 16,000 acres of land preserved for research and education, 10 minutes from the colonial city of Georgetown and 15 minutes from the beaches of Pawleys Island.Qualifications Master’s degree in basic or applied sciences that pertains to coastal settings (e.g., marine science, environmental science, environmental engineering, ecology, marine biology, hydrology, biology, geomorphology).
Prefer a Ph.D. in basic or applied sciences that pertains to coastal settings.
Ability to plan and organize support activities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations.
