07/19/2024 The Champaign County Highway Department is seeking to hire a skilled and dedicated Highway Maintenance Worker to help maintain and repair Champaign County highways and bridges. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and tractor trailer endorsement. Preferred skills and experience include two years of experience in highway maintenance and or operation of heavy equipment, heavy trucks, and maintenance equipment. The successful candidate will be required to complete an essential functions medical and physical assessment to verify their ability to perform the essential tasks of the job. Champaign County offers an excellent benefit package.
Starting wage is $30.71 per hour. Application deadline is July 19, 2024.
