What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and interpret patient medical records to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes with high specificity
- Code complex ambulatory surgery and observation visit records accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate documentation requirements with physicians and collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialists
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes, rules, and guidelines
- Enter data into the electronic health record system for billing and reporting purposes

What is Required (Qualifications):
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification with a minimum of one (1) year of full-time ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding experience
- Ability to work well independently and maintain a high level of detail orientation
- Technical proficiency in electronic health record applications and automated encoders
- Demonstrated coding knowledge and proficiency, with a required passing score of 90% on skills assessment prior to hire
- Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pediatric coding experience highly desired
- Experience using Microsoft Office Excel and Word is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate collaboration with medical staff
