Our HIM Coding team is responsible for assigning diagnosis and procedure codes to a wide variety of both outpatient and inpatient encounters that supports our 600+ bed hospital. The department is fully remote (and hires out of state employees), and provides flexible work schedules as well as hands on training for our fully credentialed staff. In this HIM Coder III -Remote position, you bring your 3+ years of acute care coding background, required CCS or CPC or CCS-P, and/or RHIT or RHIA Coding Certification, and make a difference! This is a Quality position, not a day-to-day coding production role but does require coding proficiency and recent Hospital Facility Coding experience. This position is task production oriented ensuring quality in the HIM Coding department.
In most of our Coding roles, there is a Coding Assessment given after each successful interview. TMCH provides your equipment when hired. You will be fully supported in training for anywhere from 1 – 3 months according to individual needs, with continued support throughout your career with TMCH.
This is a fully remote position and available if you live in the following states only: AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, MD, MN, MO, MS, OH, SC, TX, VA. The hours are flexible as we have remote Coders across the Nation. Generally, any 8-hour period between 7 am – 7 pm can work, with production being the greatest emphasis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a 2-year college or technical school curriculum in Health Information Management preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of acute care hospital coding experience required.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC).
