What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze hospital accounts for documentation deficiencies
- Ensure compliance with healthcare documentation standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve documentation practices
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff within the HIM department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completion of a medical terminology course within one year of hire
- Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in the HIM department
- Must be a Wisconsin resident to apply
- No specific certifications or licenses required for this position
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of a medical terminology course at the time of hire
- Experience with electronic health record systems strongly preferred
