      Dermatology & Advanced Skin Care is a well-established, multi-doctor dermatology practice in the Columbia area that is growing!

      We are passionate about providing excellent medical services and know this takes a team effort where everyone counts.

      To join our team, you must have experience with the ability to precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques.

      Job Description

      • Prepare tissue samples by fixing, staining, dying, trimming, and other methods
      • Identify and document technical issues, quality assurance, and procedural improvements
      • Use, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, and keep a clean, disinfected workspace
      • Receive, log, and document patient specimens and accompanying forms
      • Responsible for Mohs Histotech inventory

      Qualifications

      • The person should be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histotechnician or histotechnologist
      • Experience working in a lab is preferred, as this is a critical part of the job
      • Ability to work independently and with other team members

      Job Type:

      • Part-time (hours will vary)
      • Travel between locations in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington area

      Experience:

      • Minimum of 1-year current Histology experience (Required)
      • Mohs Surgery experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate

      Education:

      • High School Diploma

      Certifications/Licenses:

      • HT or HTL ASCP certified preferred

      Pay :

      • Pay starts at $30.00 per hour and increases based on years of experience
