      About this opportunity:

      Reporting to the Terminal Supervisor, the Field Operator will be responsible for the ongoing safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of the Lloydminster Terminal including NGL / Pipeline terminal operations and pump stations. This position will work collaboratively with various groups such as control room operations, engineering, construction and service companies, trucking/rail companies and maintenance personnel.

      Work Schedule will be 40-hour work week (Monday to Friday) and will transition to a 7 on / 7 off 12-hour rotational shift schedule (including nights).

      This position is located in Lloydminster, AB/SK.

      Responsibilities:

      • Operate the facility in a safe and effective manner while working collaboratively as part of the operating team.

      • Initiate notifications and follow up on work order completion with maintenance group to sustain operations.

      • Provide notifications to the area supervisor of operating cost impacts and support solutions to mitigate impacts.

      • Perform daily site inspections and complete area logs/records (e.g., volume balances, log sheets, work permits and hazard assessments)

      • Support operations performed maintenance activities and communicate HMGP requirements, policies and procedures

      • Complete the Operations Competency Assurance program (CAP-O) and ensure industry safety tickets are valid.

      • Perform safe and reliable railcar offloading operations and railcar movement

      • Review, update and maintain operating procedures.

      • Participate in Emergency response training and maintain fire training compliance.

      • Comply with all HS&E requirements in the performance of this Position's responsibilities

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum Grade 12 diploma

      • Experience in the operation of crude oil storage and blending facilities and all associated processes and systems

      • Experience working with railcars, tracks and switches (Industrial Railway Locomotive Operations Training would be an asset)

      • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

      • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

      • Technical diploma or Journeyman trades certification in electrical, mechanical or Instrumentation would be considered an asset

      • Proficiency with computers is required (experience with SAP and a field data capture system would be considered an asset)

      • This is a safety critical position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Cenovus Drug and Alcohol policy which includes pre-assignment testing
