What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide HMIS Lead services, including system administration, training, technical assistance, and data quality monitoring
- Collaborate with local and state partners to enhance HMIS utilization for effective homelessness strategies
- Advise on, update, maintain, and implement HMIS policies and procedures
- Support end users with daily HMIS functions, including HUD reporting and troubleshooting
- Provide subject matter expertise for Technical Assistance projects to support local efforts in preventing and ending homelessness
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the homelessness field, including lived experience and professional/volunteer experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with HMIS governance, policy, and administration
- Understanding of the McKinney-Vento Act and regulations governing Continuum of Care (CoC) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG)
- Effective analytical, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with training delivery and provision of technical assistance
- Familiarity with systems affecting homelessness, such as child welfare, education, or the justice system
- Knowledge of issues specific to preventing and ending youth homelessness
