What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Onsite scheduling and travel to perform hospital bill charge audits
- Review medical records to verify services and charges accuracy
- Identify overcharges, undercharges, unbundled items, errors, and duplicates
- Document findings and report any problems in the audit process
- Comply with HIPAA and other regulations regarding patient information confidentiality

What is Required (Qualifications):

- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Previous medical bill audit experience highly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in OR, ICU, or ER as an RN
- Strong knowledge of hospital billing/charging and industry guidelines
