- Leading the delivery of catering services across the site, ensuring consistent standards of hygiene, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Managing a team of catering staff, overseeing training, rotas, performance, and day-to-day supervision.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety legislation, including HACCP and Natashas Law.
- Working closely with the Dietetics and Clinical teams to ensure meals meet the individual dietary requirements of patients.
- Overseeing kitchen operations, food production, and meal distribution with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Supporting the delivery of audits, inspections, and quality assurance frameworks including PLACE and CQC.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation for compliance and governance.
- Promoting a culture of professionalism, respect, and care throughout the team.
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations, including HACCP and COSHH.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in training and developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams.
- High level of organisational and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in stock control, kitchen operations, and food service delivery.
- Commitment to delivering safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals for patients and staff.
- Formal qualifications in Food Safety and/or Hospitality Management desirable
- Experience supporting external inspections or audits (e.g., CQC, EHO, PLACE) - desirable

This is a full-time position working, 37.5 hours a week with a combination of shifts, Monday to Sunday when the kitchen is open.
