Short Description
Provider shall provide Hospitalist Physician(s) as needed to staff the Hospitalist Services at all agreed upon facilities to provide the following services: Physician Duties: a. Complete all duties of attending physician as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylawsb. Coordinate all specialty consultations and resource utilizationc. Discharge patients in a timely mannerd. At time of discharge/transfer will complete Discharge Instructions and medication reconciliatione. Dictate DC Summary at time of discharge and indicate copy to be sent to family doctor and all specialists following patient during stayf. Participate in QI and RM and UM as reasonably requestedg. Respond to Hospital codes as Lead Physician as requestedh. Participate as a back-up member of Rapid Response Team when Cooper Intensivists are not scheduled to be on the Rapid Response Teami. Perform emergent intubations as neededj. Perform emergent central lines as neededk. Complete Medical Records in a timely fashionl. Adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws and Hospital Rules and Regulations and policiesm. Perform other life/limb saving procedures as may from time to time be necessaryn. Make best effort to ensure compliance with all Core Measure quality indicators for patients under their careo. Perform the duties as mutually agreedp. Participate in teaching programq. Comply with the requirements of the voluntary teaching facultyr. Respond to PRN calls for evaluation/orderss. Complete miscellaneous procedures e.g. (ACLS, initial EKG interpretations, radiologic interpretations, urinary catheter insertion, ABGs, etc.) as requested/necessary; (House Physician only)t. Pronounce patient deadu. Order and renew restraintsv. Obtain consent for autopsy, organ/tissue donation, transfusion, DNR, withdrawal of care, and any other consent forms as needed
