- Rotate through the functional areas of the property to gain an understanding of how each
- department contributes to the success of the hotel.
- Develop skills and leadership under the guidance of the General Manager and other
- departmental leader through hands-on work and shadowing.
- Assist guests when needed.
- Learn the operational workings of each department by observation of team members,
- participation in meetings, asking questions, and special departmental projects.
- Provide input into the development and implementation of services and processes.
- Comply with company policies and procedures of each department in a satisfactory manner.
- Assist each department head with assigned operational functions and help with strategic plan
- for the department.
- Completing tasks by utilizing and learning systems, tools, equipment, and software that apply.
- Commitment of 3 months
- Must have no other internships
- Interns are employees of the hotel and should not have any other job obligations
Position: Hospitality Intern
The Hospitality Internship Program offers the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and first-handpractical experience in many aspects of hotel operations. This opportunity will provide insight into whata career would be like working in hotel operations by providing exposure to multiple departments whiledeveloping relationships with leaders in the field.
While primarily based in front of house operations, internships will also include time spent in other departments throughout the hotel including but not limited to housekeeping, sales & marketing, and maintenance. Time spent in these areas will include learning departmental specific skills and resources to help students gain experience in the different operations throughout all hotel areas.
