      Job Description

      Host
      You are the beginning of an exceptional food & beverage experience at Fairmont Vancouver Airport. As a Host, you will make our guests Feel Welcome from the moment they arrive!

      What you will be doing:

      • Consistently offer a professional and friendly greeting, and provide engaging service
      • Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
      • Understand shift end reports in the outlet and POS system
      • Coordinate and control flow of outlets, seating plans and special events
      • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
      • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
      • Other duties as assigned

      Qualifications

      Your experience and skills include:

      • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
      • Must possess and maintain a valid Serving it Right! certification
      • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
      • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
      • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team

      Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with valid work permit or visa. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization in Canada.
