      What We Need
      FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Negotiator within our Corporate Lodging division. This position falls under our Lodging line of business and is located in Lexington, KY. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for researching hotel options, negotiating, and booking 45+ night reservations. The position is also responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with hotel contacts while communicating effectively with those contacts. The Negotiator makes decisions while meeting the client’s needs based on client guidelines, feedback, and travel policy. The Negotiator is results-driven, securing the lowest possible rates and easily overcoming obstacles.
      You will report directly to the manager and regularly collaborate with various departments.
      How We Work
      As a Negotiator you will be expected to work in an office environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing the:
      • Assigned workspace in Lexington, KY office

      • Schedule is Thursday - Monday 10 am - 7 pm
      Role Responsibilities
      • Managing reservation requests for 30+ nights to fulfill customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
      • Utilizing decision-making skills to find hotel options that fit client guidelines.
      • Effectively communicate with clients and hotels via phone and email to ensure consistency with CLC policies.
      • Be proficient and consistent in providing high-quality reservations and options to clients.
      • Completing negotiations on all requests for 45+ nights based on the policies and procedures.
      • Performing more complex negotiations, including limited buying power, limited availability scenarios, and reduced turnaround time while providing a target client savings %.
      • Identifying trends and opportunities for client savings and potential market consolidation.
      • Securing rates, discounts, and RFPs with current and new hotel partners.
      • Exhibiting and utilizing knowledge of the hotel industry and regional markets associated with clients.
      • Reserving rooms that are consistent with the client guidelines in relationship to per diem, amenities, mileage parameters, authorized requestor parameters, hotel preferences, etc.
      • Identifying and resolving client and hotel issues daily.
      • Resolving all client and hotel calls regarding extensions, early departures, or changes to a reservation.
      • Responsible for meeting or exceeding all client deadlines.
      • Consulting with clients to choose the option that best fits the client’s needs.
      • Collaborating with Account Management teams and Long-Term Solutions to ensure network consolidation for our clients.
      • Effectively communicate with clients and hotels via phone and email to ensure consistency with CLC policies.
      • Attending all scheduled training, meetings, or other events as assigned by the supervisor.
      • Responsible for all other duties assigned as needed.
      Qualifications & Skills
      • High School Diploma or GED
      • 1-3 years of previous related experience.
      • Demonstrated ability to negotiate successfully with short notice and firm deadlines.
      • Demonstrated ability to problem solve at a high level through critical thinking.
      • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and deliver superior service with a high degree of accuracy.
      • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and navigating the internet.
      • Excellent personal interaction, communication, and phone skills along with a high degree of initiative, personal responsibility, ownership, and commitment to providing the highest level of customer service.
      • Be available for on-call rotations which may fall outside of regular scheduled shifts.
      Performance Standards
      • Meet established metrics for quality, volume of work, and due time adherence
      • Adhere to the schedule and CLC attendance policy
      • Meet and exceed client expectations for turnaround time with all communications
      • Adherence to all CLC Procedures/Processes
      • Provide a consistent level of accuracy
      • Ensure CLC is meeting the client’s needs and resolving all issues promptly
      • Meet established metrics for discount % and client savings % month over month
