      JOB TITLE:

      Student Marketing Coordinator

      JOB PURPOSE:
      As the Student Marketing Coordinator, your primary focus will be crafting engaging content across various Business Enterprise units. We seek a current UW student with a flair for creativity, capable of working autonomously yet eager to collaborate with our team to brainstorm innovative concepts aligning with our objectives. Whether it's capturing the excitement of an event, orchestrating a social media blitz, or highlighting the electric atmosphere of a football game, your content will play a pivotal role in showcasing the vibrant spirit of being a Poke.

      We're in search of an individual who immerses themselves in social media, keeping up with of the latest trends, and is willing to showcase UW's essence across various platforms. Collaboration is key as we thrive on cultivating fresh perspectives. While an office space equipped with an iMac will be provided, your presence on campus, actively creating content, is where your time will be best spent.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Implement marketing and social media strategies, collaborating with department stakeholders to ensure their efficacy and fostering the adoption of pertinent social media methodologies.
      • Oversee social media presence on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, maintaining a consistent posting schedule of engaging content.
      • Partner with campus dining to enhance brand visibility, promote dining specials, and advertise events through social media and unconventional marketing channels.
      • Proactively assess student preferences regarding dining locations and products, proposing promotions, discounts, and other initiatives to stimulate desired purchasing behaviors.
      • Collaborate with the team to amplify event promotion and communications via social media and an online newsletter.
      • Serve as a departmental advocate within social media spaces, addressing inquiries as appropriate.
      • Track key performance indicators to assess the impact of social media initiatives, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on campaign effectiveness to optimize outcomes.
      • Stay on top of social media trends, tools, and applications, incorporating relevant insights into strategy development.
      • Provide graphic design assistance as required.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Proven creativity
      • Proficiency in social media platforms
      • Robust project management and organizational abilities
      • Aptitude for connecting with students and departmental personnel
      • Clear and articulate communication skills, both written and verbal
      • Meticulous attention to detail
      • Availability for 15-20 hours per week
      • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (must be maintained throughout employment)

      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Proficient in rapidly creating innovative video and photo content
      • Stay current with trends in the field
      • Engaging approach to encouraging student involvement
      • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite
      • Familiarity with Canva
      • Enthusiasm for graphic design and marketing
