Job Description
- Req#: 4942336
- Clean all restrooms and shower rooms used by patients, staff, and visitors according to current infection control standards and using approved chemicals.
- Check inventory and stock all janitor and hall closets with paper and plastic products, chemicals, and wet/dry mops.
- Clean janitor closets and housekeeping equipment.
- Perform a full range of custodial tasks in inpatient rooms, offices, common areas, and hospital auxiliary areas. This includes cleanup of infectious waste, window washing, trash disposal, pest control, and clean up and disinfection of trash cans, lights, vents, fans (using ladders and/or Genie Lift when necessary), etc.
- Vacuum and extract carpets, buff, burnish scrub, strip, and wax floors.
- Remove snow and debris from entryways and docks.
- Train and assist with all aspects of laundry when needed.
- Clean and set up staff apartments.
- Communicate needed repairs, safety infractions, and infection control needs to the proper authority.
- Attend staff development and required annual classes.
- Perform cleaning duties after moves or new construction.
- Assist in getting halls ready for occupancy and assist with the move.
- Assist with training new employees.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and practices.
- Knowledge of cleansers, supplies, and equipment.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- Knowledge of state and facility policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of universal precautions.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures, cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of infection control standards.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (requires twisting, bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.).
- Ability to work in various locations (including hot or cold areas) and on multiple surfaces.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined and/or awkward spaces.
- FLSA: Non-Exempt
- A background check, including fingerprinting, will be completed through the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Wyoming Department of Family Services, and the F.B.I. for every successful applicant.
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
- A current Influenza Vaccination is required.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position ensures a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors by performing custodial services according to current infection control standards.
The city of Evanston is a small and friendly Rocky Mountain community that is a 45-minute drive from the world-famous ski slopes of Park City, Utah. There are concerts, shopping, dining, professional sporting events, and an international airport 60 minutes away in Salt Lake City. The area surrounding Evanston is excellent for recreational activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
