      Job Description:

      Housekeeping/Laundry Aides will perform day-to-day activities of Housekeeping and Laundry Department to assure that facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner, and that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

      Duties Include:

      • Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
      • Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
      • Report all accidents, incidents, defects, or other hazards to supervisor immediately.
      • Maintain cleanliness of work/supply carts, equipment, etc. Store appropriately at end of shift.
      • Clean, wash sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures; ensure that watermarks are removed.
      • Clean floors (sweep, dust, wet mop, disinfect, vacuum carpet), walls and ceilings.
      • Clean hallways, stairs, elevators, and handrails.

      Job Requirements/Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • Experience as housekeeper in long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
      • Knowledge of cleaning appliances, tools, and procedures.
      • Ability to work independently, with others, and to follow instructions.
      • Special interest and desire to serve the aging population.
