      A Housekeeper/ Laundry Associate- As Needed will provide one-on-one support to our residents by performing daily cleaning tasks in their rooms and perform laundry duties. We like to think we are visitors in their home and you will have the opportunity to get to know each resident on a personal level. You will also be responsible for cleaning nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices and clinic areas.

      Shift is an As Needed, PRN basis. This is not a set schedule, but does require a minimum or working at least 3 shifts per month and one weekend day as needed

      Housekeeper/ Laundry Associate- As Needed Responsibilities:

      • Perform all housekeeping-related tasks while demonstrating service orientation to fellow co-workers, residents.
      • Perform basic cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
      • Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommends repairs as needed.
      • Observe and report the general need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
      • Operate washers and dryers, vacuum cleaner, call bell/intercom/telephone systems, and other housekeeping equipment deemed necessary and appropriate.
      • Approaches work with a flexible attitude.
      • Visit the resident’s room to collect laundry.
      • Use the campus supplies and equipment in the laundry room to sort/wash the laundry.
      • Fold, stack, hang and deliver laundry back to the resident and or restock linen supply rooms.

      Housekeeper/ Laundry Associate- As Needed Requirements:

      • Prior experience in similar environment preferred.
      • Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role, included but not limited to lift up to 20-pound containers of laundry chemicals, lift and pull heavy, wet laundry from commercial washing machines, and to stand for prolonged periods of time.
      • Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
      • Must be dependable, kind, sympathetic, and respectful, and otherwise demonstrate good judgment concerning the rights of others.
