Catholic Eldercare is seeking a Housekeeper for our Long Term Care facility.

Schedule includes an every other week-end and alternate holiday rotation. Position is 10 shifts per pay period, 6:00am-1:30pm weekdays and 6:00am-2pm on weekends, to total 71 hours per 2 weeks.

About our community:

Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.

Responsibilities

• Clean and vacuum common areas on a daily basis.
• Clean resident’s rooms, including bathrooms and replenish supplies on a daily basis. Dusts vents, light fixtures, and doors. Wet/dry mop tile floors and vacuum carpets.
• Clean equipment and housekeeping room. Keep housekeeping cart stocked with supplies. Replace vacuum bags and filters.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to resident needs and maintain a kind and respectful manner.
• Perform all duties in a manner that is consistent with quality standards, infection control, and safety measures, which includes using Standard Precautions, at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and dependably to maintain the cleanliness of the common areas and resident living areas.
• Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English with at least intermediatie proficiency.
• Must be able to frequently lift 10 lbs and occasionally lift 35 lbs. The housekeeper is on their feet most of the day.
