Job Description

The Runner is responsible for dispatching, collecting, restocking, delivering, and inventorying all housekeeping supplies to Guests, floor closets, or storage to enable smooth operation and control of stock. They are also responsible for overseeing the Housekeeping storeroom inventory, cleanliness, and tidiness, including OS&E items, cleaning supplies, machinery, and room amenities. The runner may be assigned basic cleaning tasks at any given time. The Runner keeps guest's perspective in mind at all times to carry out the mission of the Housekeeping Department as well as the company values and vision.

Primary Responsibilities

• Report to shift on time in issued uniform in a neat, clean, and tidy appearance at all times.
• Maintain excellent personal appearance and hygiene according to grooming standards.
• Attend daily briefing and training sessions when required.
• Greet guests and address them by name when applicable, proposing help whenever suitable.
• Deliver items to guests in a timely manner according to standards.
• Sign in and out master keys and devices daily, responsible for their safekeeping.
• Report maintenance issues and escalate requests for delayed repairs.
• Receive, transfer, and store all goods in designated storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene compliance.
• Assist in cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and sweeping as needed.
• Deliver and set up stores according to service standards.
• Keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing items, including OS&E, cleaning supplies, machinery, and minibar items, and escalate discrepancies.
• Conduct weekly/monthly inventory and notify supervisors of low stock items.
• Raise requisitions for consumable items and escalate needs to higher management.
• Ensure all machinery is cleaned and in good condition, and tools are stored properly after use.
• Handle lost and found items appropriately, reporting valuable items immediately.
• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including sustainability practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or above.
• Previous luxury hospitality and housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic math, computer skills, and knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests in a luxury manner.
