      What we are looking for:

      The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel’s public areas, hallways, and back-of-house spaces. They assist housekeeping staff in ensuring guest rooms are properly cleaned and well-stocked. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the hotel, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

      Skills:

      • Thoroughly clean restrooms, hallways, stairwells, foyers, and elevators, including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, straightening furniture and decor, sanitizing surfaces, and removing waste.
      • Empty soiled linen and trash from room attendant carts and guest rooms.
      • Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors.
      • Polish mirrors, guest room door numbers, and elevator doors to maintain a pristine appearance.
      • Restock and replenish housekeeping supplies, including cleaning products, linens, and guestroom amenities.
      • Turn mattresses and move furniture as assigned by the supervisor to ensure proper cleaning.
      • Respond promptly to guest questions, provide assistance, directions, and information as requested, ensuring a positive guest experience.
      • Provide instruction and guidance for guest and employee safety in case of fire or other emergencies.
      • Support the department in maintaining the building and upholding guest service standards set by the hotel.
      • Assist shampooers with the relocation of furniture to support their cleaning tasks.
      • Report suspicious persons, activities, hazardous conditions, or any safety concerns to the Safety/Security department immediately.
      • Be flexible and ready to step in and support coworkers as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
      • Perform special assignments and projects as requested by management.
      • Attend meetings and training sessions as required by management to enhance performance and job knowledge.

      Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED.
      • Previous experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
      • Ability to work efficiently and independently, with minimal supervision.
      • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
      • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
      • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
      • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
