      The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) Housing and Community Development Division (HCD) is recruiting for a temporary Housing Database Coordinator, Project/Program Manager (PPM) I. This position will help with data identification, cleaning, entry and testing associated with its new housing database.

      HCD is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual. This position will be especially interesting to people hoping to learn more about how affordable housing planning, finance, and development work. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills. To succeed in this role, this person must be able to take direction, collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals within DCHS, and provide the necessary operational support to the housing database.

      This recruitment is to fill a Short-Term Temporary (STT) position that is anticipated to end December 31, 2024, but subject to change dependent on operational need.

      To be considered minimally qualified, applicants must demonstrate a background that provides the knowledge, skill and ability to:

      • Read and understand the purpose of legal documents.
      • Enter project data into new housing database.
      • Verify accuracy of project data in new housing database.
      • Communicate and fix gaps in project data.
      • Assist with testing database.
      • Organize digital files consistently and accurately.
      • Other duties as assigned.
      • Must be highly organized with an ability to succeed in a remote or hybrid environment, work on several tasks simultaneously, organize and prioritize work quickly in response to changing needs, and meet deadlines.
      • Experience completing data entry and verification.
      • Experience with data quality control.
      • Demonstrate ability to data best practice: organization, conscientiousness, detail oriented.
      • Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
      • Can work independently and as part of a diverse team.
      • Are comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

      Desired Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:

      • Three or more years of experience performing complex administrative, policy, or research work.
      • Candidates with experience as executive assistants, paralegals, legal assistants, and similar jobs that require both research and administrative skills will be extremely competitive.
      • Interested in learning more about housing issues.
      • Experience working with legal documents or databases.


      ADDITIONAL POSITION INFORMATION:

      • This position has been designated Non-Mission Critical. Unless otherwise directed by the County Executive, department director or agency head, all employees, regardless of designation, are expected to report to work or request leave during an emergency or inclement weather.       • This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. This position meets the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible with supervisory pre-approval.
      • This position is represented by PROTEC17.
      • The work associated with this position will be performed or conducted through a combination of mostly teleworking with some onsite work and meetings. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
