Job Description

- Provide guidance and coaching on HR policies, practices and programs, talent and performance management, corrective discipline, compensation, leadership development, and team effectiveness
- Partner with HR Business Partners to improve overall organizational and operational effectiveness
- Client focus approach with ability to identify opportunities to improve our service, particularly areas that enhance the leader experience
- Drive the transformation of the leader experience through enhanced self-service
- Facilitate and/or present information to leader audiences on a regular basis
- Understand the processes related to workforce management and employee lifecycle and the leader accountabilities to initiate those transactions in Workday
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence in the roll-out and execution of enterprise-wide programs, practices and training
- including presenting and/or facilitating to leader audiences
- Proactively contribute to the ongoing creation and sustainment of HR advisory services content for leaders
- Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities as well as projects or initiatives
- University degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 4 or more years of Human Resources or relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years in an HR Generalist, or similar business facing role
- Experienced presenting and facilitating to various levels of the organization
- Results-oriented and makes sound judgement to effectively resolve issues
- Ability to work independently to resolve inquiries in an effective and timely manner while managing competing priorities in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong business acumen and ability to navigate the organization
- Problem solver with critical thinking skills including an aptitude to adapt to change, navigate ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic and complex organization
- Spanish and/or French as a second language
- Ability to travel as minimal business travel may be required
- Experience in a union environment
- Knowledge and understanding of employment law
- Experience with Workday and ServiceNow

Reporting to the Manager, HR Services, you’ll work with a pooled group of HR Advisors in a shared service environment to provide first-point-of-contact support for managers across our Canada and US footprint. As an integral member of the Manager Services team, you thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and have strong judgment to prioritize day to day needs.
