      DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SAFETY

      Job Summary:

      This position, located in Human Resources, analyzes, verifies, and performs accurate input of employee personnel actions into the Human Resources Information Solution (HRIS) in accordance with the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules.

      This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

      Job Duties:
      • Reviews, verifies, and enters incoming employee data and keys into the State's HRIS system timely. Actions include new hires, promotions, transfers, demotions, etc.
      • Works with HR liaisons to resolve any issues or discrepancies
      • Conducts new employee orientation bi-weekly; and presents new employee orientation to a small to a large audience
      • Ensures necessary employee performance appraisals are complete prior to processing actions
      • Provides training and guidance to HR liaisons
      • Generates reports from HRIS; audits keyed actions
      • Participates in small/mid-size special HR Projects or assignments using the Lean Management System Methodology.
      • Performs additional HR duties appropriate to the assignment

      • Business English to include proper sentence and punctuation

      • Learn and communicate with the various HR office contacts throughout the state
      • Become familiar with, use and complete a variety of HR documents

      • Identify and implement process improvement solutions
      • Apply and explain general laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
      • Cooperating with others to accomplish common goals and tasks
      • Travels on State business
      Selective Preference(s):
      • Two (2) years of work experience in a Human Resources office
      • Experience using LEAN principles
      • State of Arizona HR experience
      • Presentation experience in a classroom setting
      Pre-Employment Requirements:

      Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from the DCS Central Registry.
      Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

      Retirement:

      Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
