      SUMMARY

      Greet and assist people visiting and/or calling the Human Resources Department or Employee Housing, answering general questions and providing information as requested. Provide support to the department in areas such as recruiting, benefits, uniform distribution, training and employee celebrations and payroll. Responsible for the overall coordination of Employee Housing including move-ins/outs, payroll deductions, inspections, maintenance needs and dispute resolution. Support the HR Department in balancing the roles of employee advocate, management consultant and resort protector. Assist customers, guests and staff members in a timely and efficient manner. A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

      Human Resources:

      1. Promptly greet and assist all employees, applicants and others coming into Human Resources.
      2. Assist in processing new and returning employees in accordance with hiring policies.
      3. Work with Supervisors to ensure completion of all paperwork related to new hires, rehires, reclassifications, and separations.
      4. HRIS input and maintenance.
      5. Provide back-up support to the HR Office Manager.
      6. Research and track safety data sheets.
      7. Input and track employee payroll deductions.
      8. Assist supervisors with time card/timeclock issues.
      9. Responsible for filing of all employee paperwork and maintenance of employee files, with assistance from the department as needed.
      10. Assist with employment verifications, unemployment responses, and other employment/employee related inquiries.
      11. Assist with the organization, distribution, tracking and inventorying of employee uniforms as needed.
      12. Assist with creating and organizing company employee celebrations/activities/events as needed.
      13. Assist applicants and provide support for recruiting efforts as needed.
      14. Maintain uncompromising integrity of confidential information.
      15. Use initiative to independently perform recurring office work.
      16. May assist in other departments as needed and may perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

      Employee Housing:

      1. Prepares employee housing by ordering supplies, taking inventories and submitting maintenance list of repairs.
      2. Greet new staff and give a short tour of the housing area; check individuals into and out of housing.
      3. Responsible for all lease and other documents.
      4. Communicate and conduct room inspections and report any damage to Human Resources.
      5. Find and track housing maintenance issues, place maintenance requests, ensure completion and maintain records.
      6. Work with Human Resources and advise staff in advance of new roommate arrivals.
      7. Supervise and coordinate the cleaning of rooms when needed.
      8. Conduct rounds and enforce housing policies including quiet hours; record housing incidents and inappropriate behavior; contact HR and/or Security when necessary.
      9. Maintain adequate inventory of supplies; Distribute, track and ensure retrieval of items that are loaned out.
      10. Conduct Monthly Inspections.
      11. Communicate and enforce housing Emergency Procedures for all residents and handle emergency phone calls as necessary.
      12. Assist housekeeping department as necessary.
      13. Assist Human Resources as directed with the planning and implementation of staff activities.
      14. Assists in other departments as needed.
      15. All other duties as assigned.

      RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:

      1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times.
      2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
      3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
      4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort’s Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
      5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
      6. Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

      This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       Strong computer skills in all Microsoft products, people skills, presentation skills and organizational skills necessary.       EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      Bachelor's degree with study concentration in human resources management or equivalent experience, desired. Previous experience in Human Resources, preferred.

      LANGUAGE & MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

      Strong written and verbal skills necessary. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people. Ability to read, understand and interpret employment and safety-related law. Ability to speak Spanish, helpful.

      Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, mean, median, minimum, maximum, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

      OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

      Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to deal with confidential materials and information professionally. Must be well organized, self motivated and detail oriented.
