Job Description

- Design, launch, and manage a soft skills training initiative focused on key areas including: financial literacy, conflict resolution, adapting to change, work/life balance
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations to deliver meaningful programming.
- Collaborate with government agencies to secure resources, support, or funding for training initiatives.
- Coordinate and schedule engaging workshops, seminars, and interactive learning opportunities for associates across shifts.
- Track participation and measure outcomes to continuously improve program impact and relevance.
- Promote the program internally to drive engagement and participation.
- Assist with HR activities within the supply chain, such as employee relations, onboarding, data entry, and HRIS updates.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Participate in special HR projects that enhance team efficiency and business impact.
- Help foster a positive, inclusive, and development-oriented workplace culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in HR, training and development, or community relations; manufacturing experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with employees at all levels.
- Passion for personal and professional development and a commitment to employee growth.
- Creative thinker with the ability to build programs from the ground up.
- Comfortable engaging with external partners, vendors, and community organizations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an HR Associate to join our team in Hanover, PA. We are seeking a dynamic and community-minded Human Resources Associate to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive soft skills training program for our associates in a fast-paced snack food manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a people-focused professional who is passionate about employee development, community engagement, and building a stronger, more adaptable workforce. In addition to spearheading the soft skills program, the HR Associate will support a variety of general HR functions within our supply chain operations and contribute to departmental special projects.
