- Provide HR leadership and coaching to employees and managers regarding employee relations issues. Ensure prompt and effective management of employee relations issues and grievances.
- Work with business leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities.
- Drive key HR processes/initiatives for CNBC APAC including staffing, change management, organizational design, compensation planning, performance management, goal setting, and leadership and employee development.
- Offer guidance and counseling to employees and managers concerning work-related issues and work to resolve issues in a proactive and positive manner.
- Manage and communicate HR policies; develop and implement HR practices and procedures aligned to meet the needs of the business. Ensure compliance with relevant local laws.
- Partner with management to develop and implement training and strategies to retain internal, and attract external talent.
- Collaborate and partner with corporate COEs to drive HR best practices for the region.
- Minimum of 8 years Human Resources experience required inclusive of a minimum of 5 years in Business Partner capacity.
- Proven influencer; demonstrated ability to coach and counsel both employees and senior-level management.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with all levels of employees.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable employment laws and general business practices.
- Previous experience in media industry.
- Experience in change management.
- Strong employee relations skillset; can earn trust and credibility with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to balance numerous priorities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, with excellent follow-through and analytical skills.
- Takes ownership; able to establish self as the “go-to” HR resource.
- Must be able to exercise discretion and keep strictest levels of confidentiality.

Job Description
Role Purpose
Human Resources Director will provide HR leadership to CNBC International, APAC Region. This individual will provide comprehensive HR leadership to the business and drive key HR initiatives in areas such as staffing, performance management, compensation planning, employee engagement, training and development, rewards & recognition, and employee communication. Based in Singapore, this position will report to the VP of Human Resources, NBC News Group International. This role will require someone who is comfortable operating strategically as well as performing tactical, operational functions.
