      HR Generalist

      About this opportunity...

      Functioning in a generalist capacity, the HR Generalist will provide Human Resources support to Associates, focusing primarily on the Los Angeles Buying Office. Responsibilities include: Providing HR support to Associates in a specified Client Group, managing the successful execution of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and Employee Engagement programs.

      The base salary range for this role is $66,600 – $85,000. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

      Responsibilities...

      Business Partnership

      · Provide HR support to assigned client group, including but not limited to: Investigating and resolving Associate concerns, providing guidance and coaching to managers on handling performance concerns

      · You will also serve as key point of contact and counsel for Associates and Managers on a broad range of HR policies

      · Act as trusted source of information and as counsellor to Associates, by playing a front-line role in answering HR questions and escalating issues as needed

      · Proactively engage with Associates to arrive at strategies and actions that continue to elevate the Associate experience

      · Analyze trends in turnover and make recommendations to mitigate future risks

      · Deliver training on how to write/ deliver performance reviews, as well as coaching and guidance to managers on giving performance-based feedback to their Associates

      Corporate Social Responsibility, Communications and Associate Engagement

      · Manage relationships with external community partners, identify new local partners (as needed) in line with the company’s CSR Mission Statement

      · Manage CSR and Associate Engagement events); plan, organize and execute events throughout the year to increase engagement and enhance experiences

      · Manage communication for events utilizing company branding to drive Associate participation and maximize engagement

      · Collaborate with Corporate CSR and NYBO teams to build a strategic CSR plan for the year

      HR, Payroll and Benefits Administration

      · Provides guidance or direction to employees on all HR related policies, procedures and general questions in a timely manner (i.e. Payroll, Benefits/ Commuter and Time Off/ Leave of Absences etc.)

      · Partner with HR Operations, Benefits or Payroll teams to resolve escalated issues.

      · Deliver training as required to Associates and Managers on using the Kronos (“MyTime”) system to ensure that Associates are paid accurately

      · Lead onboarding and offboarding of Associates - Manage Change of Status (COS) process to maintain accurate employee records and ensure final pay is delivered in compliance with State law

      · Partner with Workforce Planning and HR Operations teams to ensure Org Charts and PeopleSoft records are accurate and well maintained

      On-Boarding

      · Meet with all New Hires during their Onboarding to check in and ensure a positive Associate experience. Flag any concerns or trends in feedback

      · Partner with Leaders to ensure that New Hires are given all the necessary resources and feedback (i.e. 90-day Reviews) to ensure they are set up for success

      Compliance & Governance

      · Manage the reporting of all compliance training (i.e. Conduct Code of Conduct, Non-Harassment, Annual Policy sign-off and other Compliance training) to ensure 100% compliance for the LA Buying Office

      Who you are...

      · Bachelor's degree required

      · Minimum of 2-5 years of exempt level Human Resources or related experience

      · Strong communication skills (both oral and written)

      · Ability to exercise independent judgment and effective problem-solving skills

      · Ability to multi-task, independently prioritize and work well under the pressure of deadlines

      · Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others

      · Proficiency at an intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
