      Job Description

      Key Responsibilities May Include:

      • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing advice and support on HR processes, policies, and employee-related queries.
      • Support and implement programs that align organizational structure, people capabilities, systems, and culture with business strategy.
      • Develop and maintain effective programs for employee retention, promotion, engagement, talent management, organization design, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
      • Coach and guide line managers on using the HR self-service model, including Workday case creation and accessing resources on the central employee hub.
      • Ensure compliance with legal requirements in day-to-day employee management, partnering with the legal department when necessary to mitigate risks.
      • Support and enhance the delivery of onboarding, training, and compliance initiatives for new starters and existing employees.
      • Provide support and training for annual HR processes, including performance reviews, annual salary reviews, talent reviews, and employee engagement surveys (e.g., Pulse Surveys).

      Key accountabilities:

      • Manage in full the German Work Council
      • Responsible and owner for the actuality of all contracts, policies and Work Council negotiations
      • Support involuntary terminations in close co-operation with local HR Manager and overall supporting matters involving labor-management issues
      • Support People Manager with performance management issues through process and feedback training.
      • Partner with the European ER/LR Team on Global/European Implementations in Germany

      Qualification and experience:

      • Post-graduate qualification in business, business law, human resources, sociology, legal and/or equivalent work experience.
      • At least 3+ years proven record in self-managing Work council relationship management
      • Strong understanding of all aspects of labour, employment and human resources related laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts and practices in Germany
      • Experience in conducting internal employee relations investigations
      • Ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization, and make decisions while keeping partners and leaders informed
      • Strong business Partnerin approach
      • Fluency in both German and English
