- Address employee relations issues: conduct timely investigations, prepare documentation, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Work with organizational leaders to help enforce policies, procedures, and practices on Human Resources matters.
- Assist with implementation of employee feedback surveys and help create strategies to cultivate a culture of employee engagement based on that feedback.
- Provide advice and counsel to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organization effectiveness.
- Oversee compliance requirements. Assist with staying up to date on changes in employment law, legal requirements, and reporting regulations.
- Conduct training for supervisors and managers on a wide variety of topics.
- Manage the Performance Management and annual review program.
- Support leaders with onboarding and offboarding activities; new employee training, stay interviews, exit interviews, etc.
- Run reports and gather data for reporting purposes
- Main point of contact for leaves of absence, FMLA, worker’s compensation.
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Exercises a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information
- Support benefits administration (including annual enrollment, communication, and overall support to employees).
- Assists or prepares correspondence to be distributed to the field as requested.
- Support the People Team with cross department collaboration by implementing special projects and programs as needed
- Provide administrative support to HR Director, as needed
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Human Resource Generalist position.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Broad knowledge of training and development, employee relations, performance management, and organizational planning.
- Proficient in fair work week, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and FMLA/ADA experience.
- Results oriented with ability to effectively manage projects and tight deadlines
- Exercises a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a coaching and consultative approach to problem solving
- High performance professional and independent self-starter with excellent organizational and prioritizing skills with the initiative to seek challenges and strive for continuous improvement
- Strong desire to work as a team with a result driven approach
- The ability to excel in a fast paced, progressive environment with minimal supervision
- Flexibility with work schedule and ability to travel based on business needs
- Excellent computer proficiency along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Training and facilitation background
- Prior experience in retail, hospitality and food and beverage organization

This is a true Generalist role. You will oversee core HR functions while providing excellent customer service and a fantastic employee experience. There will be both administrative and strategic responsibilities that will provide foundational support to our most important asset - our Insomniacs!
