- Providing guidance and support to managers and staff across the Trust on Payroll & HR-related issues.
- Ensuring all payroll and HR system data is accurate and up to date.
- Processing of transactional documents on to ESR, such as hiring new starters, contractual changes / leavers
- Working with a wide range of colleagues and teams, supporting others within the HR Hub to ensure smooth operations and service delivery.
- Handling various clerical duties in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising accuracy.
- Knowledge of statutory regulations, e.g. Equality Act, Equal Opportunities, Asylum & Immigration regulations, Safer Recruitment Guidelines for NHS.
- Knowledge of AFC Terms & Conditions of Service
- Experience of Recruitment Processes and Procedures
- Experience of payroll/HR systems and web based packages
- Experience of a wide range of clerical duties
- Experience of working in a highly pressurised, customer orientated environment
- Proven experience of meeting deadlines whilst working under extreme pressure
- Experience of web based on-line recruitment.
- Knowledge of ESR system.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- High level of data input skills

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HR Hub transactional team within Northwest Ambulance Service,
We are looking for an individual who is conscientious, with excellent computer skills, who can work independently or as part of a team.
You are required to work effectively with a broad range of colleagues, as such the role requires excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.You will be responsible for providing ESR & transactional guidance, including first line advice to managers and staff across the Trust. The role includes ensuringthat all data is up-to-date and accurate within ESR and HR systems.
Knowledge of HR related administrative procedures with experience of HR/Payroll systems and web-based packages is required. Experience in ESR and/or Trac Jobs would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
You should have experience of a wide range of clerical duties in a highly pressured customer orientated environment with the ability to meet strict deadlines and work under extreme pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
You should be able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills.
This is a generic role that will work as part of a team to support and effectively deliver accurate, timely and customer focussed services within the HR Hub Team, there is a requirement to work across teams within the HR Hub to ensure that work pressures are covered, and service standards are maintained.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
