Job summary
The role of the Human Resources Team is to provide a prompt, effective and efficient advisory HR service to staff and managers ensuring adherence to policies and legislation whilst ensuring service needs are met.
The HR team are responsible for supporting and advising on all aspects of employment including managing sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance matters and are involved in organisational change and review. The team are also responsible for the provision of a recruitment and selection service and writing and reviewing HR policies to ensure best practice and compliance with legal requirements. The team also works closely with CPG's payroll providers in the implementation of the full range of payroll and pension services. Staff benefits are also co-ordinated and administered via the HR Team.

Range 4 £25,498 - £27,202 - you will be appointed on a fixed salary point within the range.
The role of the HR Officer is to support the HR team in the delivery of an effective, customer focussed and professional HR service to the organisation.
You will be part of a team that provides a HR support and advisory service to the whole range of services within Care Plus Group. Every day is different as you will manage and prioritise a varied range of duties including all aspects of employee relations work (i.e. discipline, grievance, sickness absence), recruitment and selection, payroll and general advice, guidance and support to staff and managers. You will work independently, however, support and guidance is readily available from within the team. The role provides an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in all elements of the HR role.
You must be customer focussed and have the ability to provide general advice and guidance on employment related matters, as well as having experience of using Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to produce reports and extract data.
It is essential that you have the ability to present views clearly and logically both verbally and in writing, have knowledge of employment law, conditions of service and best practice and their interpretation and application and have effective communication and IT skills.
